A proper garden salad
Lettuce you cut ten minutes ago is a different thing entirely. Dress it simply and let it speak.
What you need
- A bowl of lettuce leaves, washed
- A handful of radishes, sliced thin (if you have them)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
- Salt
How to make it
- Whisk the oil, vinegar and a pinch of salt in the bottom of the bowl.
- Pile the leaves on top, add the radish.
- Toss gently with your hands just before serving so it doesn't go limp.
Grow it, cook it
Add tomatoes to the plot and your salads go from good to summer-on-a-plate.
